Aerial shot of one of 57 sections of BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Transbay Tube being towed from the Sacramento River delta to its resting place near the SF-Oakland Bay Bridge, over 130 feet underwater. What most people don’t know about the Transbay tube is that it’s not underground, it actually sits on the sea bed to allow the tube to flex in an earthquake, it’s loosely covered with gravel and soil.
